Faculty Position ? Behavioral Neuroscience.? The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, to begin July 2013. The successful candidate will have a research specialty and expertise in gene-environment interactions related to addictions, broadly defined.? Candidates should have an excellent record of research productivity, the potential to develop an independent and internationally recognized research program, and a commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.? Having active grant funding and/or a successful history of grant support is desirable. This position is intended to expand or complement our training program focused on the neurobiology of drug abuse. We are particularly interested in individuals that employ epigenetic, optogenetic, or other cutting-edge molecular genetic techniques designed to elucidate the neurobiology of addiction in its various forms, including behavioral addictions and eating disorders, using animal or human subjects. UNC is the home of numerous research centers and core facilities providing outstanding opportunities for collaborations and research support.
