Tia Mowry's co-sleeping confession | BabyCenter Blog

Actress Tia Mowry has been feeling some mommy guilt.

The star of The Game is finally shrugging off the shame, though, admitting in a new blog for iVillage that she?s a? prepare yourselves? co-sleeper.

?Okay, I?m gonna admit it! And I am not afraid to admit it: Cree still sleeps with Mom and Dad. There, I said it!? Tia writes of her 16-month-old son.

TM Tia Mowrys co sleeping confession

Tia says that bringing Cree into their bed went against just about every piece of parenting advice she?s been given: ?When I was pregnant, many parents would tell me without me even asking for their advice, ?Do not keep your baby in your bed! You will forever regret it! Don?t do it! It?s bad, bad, bad!? she says. ?Well, fast forward, Cree was in our bed.?

When all is said and done, though, Tia feels that for her family the positives associated with co-sleeping (it?s convenient for breastfeeding moms and it ?promotes touch and feel (bonding) for mom and baby?) outweigh the negatives (?I do sleep a little lighter, but sleeping is for wimps, right??).

Kudos to Tia for sticking with what works for her and family. I, however, am definitely not a co-sleeping mom. I?m more of a close-the-bedroom-door-and-I?ll-see-you-tomorrow-morning kind of mom. Fortunately, my husband and I were solidly on the same page when it came to co-sleeping, so both of our girls have been snoozing in their own rooms since they were about a month old.

Do you co-sleep? Why or why not?

Tia isn?t the only famous mama who is a fan of co-sleeping. Here?s a look back at several others?
