Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has said viewers will be shocked by the events at Tyrone Dobbs? wedding.
Tyrone is preparing to wed his violent partner Kirsty Soames, but is only going through with the marriage to secure parental rights over his baby daughter Ruby.
However, things do not go to plan after Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) finds out about his affair on the eve of the wedding.
Halsall told Digital Spy: ?Like any Coronation Street wedding, there's always a twist and this one's no different.
?And this is a huge twist, really, in this story that's been running for the best part of a year now. It's a huge twist that leaves Tyrone with nowhere to go.?
Alan added: ?I'm sure the viewers will be shocked.
?Tyrone certainly doesn't see what's about to happen coming. He's had it all planned in his mind how it's going to work, and of course it never runs to plan!
?I think it'll be great for the viewers to watch, and it's definitely a climax in the story.?
Meanwhile, the actor admitted that he did not want to see Gumede leave the cobbles.
He said: ?To come into a show like Coronation Street which has been running for 52 years and make such an impact, I think is testament to her.
?I've loved working with her day in, day out. She's a joy to work with and she's nothing like Kirsty, you'll be pleased to know!
"I'm not so sure that will just go away. There's still a story to be told there. Things like the issue that we're touching on, they don't just go away."
